The Sigma 105mm f2.8 EX DG Macro is an excellent Macro option for Pentax. It is tack sharp from wide open and I can fully recommend the lens. I have used the lens for macro up to 1:1 magnification and even beyond combining it with a double reverse lens technique with excellent results. The Painted reed frog and Sigma 105 sets were taken with the lens on its own and the other sets with this lens and a second lens (50mm) reversed onto the front of the lens using a reversing ring. The exterior of the lens is in very good + condition and the glass is pristine. The lens comes without a lens hood but with a Hoya filter that I always leave on. The lens elements are deeply recessed and I have never seen the point of a hood. The lens is up for sale at R2300.00.
