This PRISTENE condition lens has been bought as part of a bundle, but was not needed (and never used).
Weighing just 7.2 oz., this light and compact standard zoom lens produces clear, high-contrast pictures and videos. Its approx. 3.1x zoom covers the popular range of 18–55mm, making it a versatile, go-to lens for everything from portraiture to landscapes. It even lets you shoot close-ups just 0.9-ft. from your subject.
This lens was introduced as a kit lens along with the Nikon D40 on November 16th, 2006. It works perfectly on every Nikon digital SLR (D40, D50, D70, D80, D100, D200, D1x, D2X, etc.) It won't work on film cameras: you'll get black corners.
It replaces the previous 18-55mm AFS lens, which has been a favourite recommendation of Ken Rockwell for its low price and great performance.
It weighs almost nothing, it's super sharp, has little distortion, zooms much more precisely than more expensive lenses and has better macro performance than more expensive lenses.

Extension from flange: 2.903" (73.74mm) at its absolute shortest (focused past infinity at 32mm), 2.986" (75.85mm) at its practical shortest (focused at infinity at 32mm) and 3.637" (92.38mm) at its longest (closest focus at 55mm). Nikon specifies it as 2.7 x 2.9" (70.5 x 74.0mm), no details.

The AF is silent but not that fast. It is extremely accurate.
